If you really like Spanish dishes you must try bonito's gazpacho and black rice. Also they offer good wine at crazy cheap prizes (not ever seen in other restaurants). it is a nice place to come with friends or just with your couple. To sit in the terrace while having a cup of wine can be a perfect plan to end the day

I was been there last night with my colleague. I have seen some of the review here before I get there, I must say all the comment is correct. The food is good (especially the potato, but it's a pity i didnt try the gazpacho, i will do it next time), enviroment, decoration is all good, and the service is also good. I think it is a great place for a couple to celebrate their anniversary.

The best casual place in town (my little barcelona), good food and crazy wine prices (but not crapie like in other places). The service can be improved but these guys will see us often there...

Although this is not the best restaurant in Shanghai, it offers good food with a reasonable price. The place is really cozy, the ambient as well and they serve the cheapest wines in Shanghai. As Spanish I truly recommend this place if you want to enjoy some Spanish dishes without having to pay too much.

In my 8 years of living in this town, I have seen restaurants come and go. I remember when all that one had to choose for a slightly upmarket dining experience was M on the Bund or maybe Sashas for a passable meal. Bonito, where do I begin: 1. What is the predilection for new restaurants to spend all their efforts on decor and forget the food. 2. Disinterested filipino staff 3. Minimal tapas list and what was served was a poor imitation. I doubt anyone of Spanish origin has involvement with this venue. If they have they should be ashamed. Poor food, poor attitudes, nice location. What a shame

I've been there 3 times. Good place to go, nice enviroment and good food for a really reasonable price . I bring some friends from Spain and they were really amazed with the food.

I really enjoy eating and drinking with my friends there (that's not easy in Shanghai). The food is very tasty and the wine really good at an amazing price. A nice place with good enviroment, where you can go often not being cheated (we are being used to it in Shanghai). In summer,Bonito terrace = the place to be.

Very good selection of wines and without doubt the best prices in town...the place is nice and the enviroment excellent...the tapas menu is not the largest but the food is really mediterranean (easy and tasty).

Amazing! After eating in this restaurant you feel just as having eaten in Spain, great quality food and price. One of the best paellas I have tried even in Spain. The service takes care of every single detail, we felt like kings. Amazing and economic wines which make you go out a bit tipsy without emptying your pockets. The Sangria is incredible, I am looking forward to drink it in summer at its terrace. Just Spanish quality dishes at spanish prices, 10/10.

The dining experience at Bonito was absolutely dreadful. I fail to understand why some restaurants go to the trouble of employing Filipino wait staff, that should be able to both understand and speak English, sadly they don’t even know what’s on the menu, how to serve, kept running back and forth to the bar and kitchen to find out the answer the diners questions, employ some good Chinese staff and train them I say. The menu it’s self was grubby and dog-eared, odd for a restaurant that has only recently opened. Typical “Mei You” scenario of food items, that one would expect of restaurants from years gone by in China. The food was tasteless, poor man’s adaption of bruschetta on stale baguettes was served. The meal certainly not value for money, also no Fapiao to be had, another dodgy move by restaurateurs that really have no clue when it comes to operating and I see another over hyped outlet about to die in Shanghai.
