Here's some sound bits and pieces from two different shows happening on Saturday: Max Tundra is at LOgO and The Fadeaways are over at Yuyintang. Shame those are both on the same night -- both look pretty interesting for different reasons...
British electronica / acoustic reactionary pop smasher, Max Tundra is in town over at LOgO, which is a pretty rare and strange thing indeed. From some bedroom in the UK to the stage at LOgO… quite a distance to travel. Tundra's erratic output is comprised of three albums and a bunch of remixes and things of people like Marnie Stern, Kid606, Franz Ferdinand, and more. Lately, he's been on tour with Girl Talk, and offering to do various things for five pounds. This one is the single off his last full-length release, Parallax Error Beheads You, which was back in 2008.

If you like experimental laptop jive, as well as random anti-pop quirk and zany instruments, you should probably go to this show.
On opening duties is local time travelers, Duck Fight Goose, who are doing lots and lots of loop-happy, constructive space rock these days, as well as some other band the name of which escapes me.

Meanwhile, across town is a Trash A Go-Go night over at Yuyintang, featuring retro-minded Japanese garage punk from this band called The Fadeaways. Trash A Go-Go have been real dependable 'lo these many months in hosting some pretty amazing Japanese mod / punk / garage bands, and this Saturday is no different. Good stuff. Blistering.

As for openers, some line-up changes are affecting both The Instigation and The Beat Bandits, and two new bands (with some familiar faces, though), The Illunin8tors and The Macaronians, are picking up the slack. DJ B.O playing music as well. Lots of bang, bang, bang for your buck.
