Madame Tussauds

Wax replica of Bill Clinton, Vladimir Putin, and Jackie Chan
I approach Madame Tussauds Shanghai with understandable caution. Having paid 24 Pounds in London (over 300rmb) to stare at minor celebrity doppelgangers made entirely from wax (that's really the only truly impressive bit, although it also begs the question why?) and to pretend to be a wholly unconvincing bond girl standing next to the model of Pierce Brosnan, better known as the most recent and replaced 007, it is fair to say I was slightly sceptical of the new branch which has opened up on Nanjing Lu. How was Shanghai's Taussaunds ever going to live up to the sight of the British royal family immortalised in wax?
I was expecting as weak mirror image of the London or New York branches... and on some fronts that is exactly what you get with - the general British and American top dollar celebs (including, naturally, two David Beckams) mixed in with a few Chinese stars, who I must admit, I struggled to recognise with the complete lack of nameplates.
