Observation one for Yi Cafe: Its cool design gets a definite (and unexpected - hey it's a hotel) stamp of approval. Observation two: The uniforms worn by the service staffs make them look like a genetic splice of clowns and Turkish tribesmen. Observation three: Service by the clowns-cum-Turkish tribesmen, however, is excellent. Ditto for the chefs at the cooking stations, who are always eager to have you try their specialties.
Problem one: How can be certain that my food will still be warm (one must wonder it the plate carrying it from the food station is cold) by the time it reaches my table? Problem two: Is there some way I can try all of that food in one evening?
Question one: How do they get the salad bowl steaming? Question two: [concerning wines by the glass]: What is Chard-ennui? (Find the answer in the menu). Question three: What could possibly justify 92 remmies for a bottle of Pellegrino?
Impression one: Nope - some 6 live cooking stations serving ethnic cuisine, a sushi-, a salad-, a candy- and even a dessert bar - even King Kong/all of the Seven Dwarfs could not stomach that.
Suggestion one: Control your frantic greed, stick to your favorites and make sure you try the sushi.
Suggestion two: Go - Yi is worth a trip. Suggestion three: Don't forget to pocket some candies on your way out.
Buffet Dinner: 268 remmies + 15%
