A Sunday Worthy of a Crowne

By Neelam, Sep 9th, 2006 | In Dining

When you go for Brunch at one of the most coveted 5star hotels in the city you do arrive in anticipation of something a little more than spectacular. Well Sunday morning 11am, standing next to the Oriental Bamboo Garden of the Crowne Plaza Fudan Shanghai, glass of champagne in one hand and plate of freshly barbequed lobster in the other, clearly I wasn't disappointed.

The hotel presented its guests with an impressive and diverse feast in celebration of its various intercontinental food and beverage concepts, making buffet decisions strikingly difficult. International cuisine was flavour of the day, with a focus on superbly fresh seafood.

The Sunday Brunch and Dinner is a new introduction this September by the hotel, adding to its already successful list of hospitality services. Stretching from the busy kitchens inside to the outdoor barbeque, an extensive range of food and wine is on offer every Sunday from 11:30am until 9:30pm, including sushi, crab and an amazing full English, including poached salmon and eggs, crisp hash browns and the all important brown sauce (is anybody's mouth watering yet?).
