Thai, Thai must Try

With summer just around the corner, the party atmosphere will be hotting up, whether it¡¯s outdoors or indoors. If like me you're accustomed to summers on the beach or by the pool, tongs in hand, flipping meat on a BBQ, then stop reading this. If unlike me you don¡¯t like to cook or slave over hot coals, but still love hosting parties at home, preferably without lifting a finger but still keeping your guests satisfied with nice summery Thai food, then this is for you.
You'll probably know the face of Alyssa, who runs Thai Food Station, from parties, either behind the scenes or socialising with the rest of us. If not then here is a little history about Alyssa and Thai Food Station.
Once upon a time there was a little gem called Thai Food Station. It was a place you could call home, go and meet new friends, eat and be merry. The main draw was how casual it was. You could sit on the floor, even lie on the floor - basically do just about anything without Alyssa batting an eyelid. Alyssa would welcome everyone into her home with open arms and a warm smile. And the food? Well it kept me going back for more.
Unfortunately, the story of this legend on Jiang Guo Lu took a new turn a few years back when Thai Food Station moved on to Chang Le Lu together with Kevin's (now called Vogue in Kevin's). This second chapter was rather short lived due to business complications, but Alyssa's involvement in the restaurant business didn't stop there. With years of experience in both Bangkok and Shanghai, her culinary style has developed from true Thai cuisine into a style that is Asian, but with Thai flavours as the backbone to her creations.
