Roots Radicals

Two years is a long time in Shanghai. The city's skyline changes by the day as new towers sprout, and the metro map has new stops on it every time you look. People come and go as social circles change with the seasons, and new bars and clubs open and close every weekend. It's a real achievement then for the Uprooted Sunshine crew to survive the Shanghai chaos, and they celebrate their second birthday this Saturday at 4 Live.
And what a party they have in store ¨C a real United Nations-sounding line up featuring DJs Yo (France), Drunk-Monk (UK), dji (Canada), Yas (Japan), Deville (Switzerland), Yufah (Japan), Mael (France), V-Nutz (China), and Siesta (Hong-Kong).
Not content with that? Then MCs ChaCha (China), Redstar (China) and Newshan (UK) are also on the bill. Oh, and don't forget the man from Tahiti, Didjelirium on the didgeridoo, who will also be Mcing.
"The two years since we started have flown by," said founding member Drunk Monk. "We've had many great guests and members along the way and we always have people turning up wanting to jam with us so, every night is different and interesting for both the DJs and the crowd."
