Canto-pop, mando-pop, old blokes playing the Erhu, or the painful squawking of Chinese opera. I don't know about you, but these are the only examples of indigenous Chinese music that spring to my mind. Thankfully, a new generation of musicians are emerging, and Beijing's Meng.Qi, a drum & bass, breaks, and electronica producer, is one such example.
