Before the last recession, I was living in San Francisco enjoying the excesses of the dot.com bubble. Aside from producing The Internet as we know it today, it also helped to popularize a certain style of eating -- starting after 10pm in a fancy-yet-casual environment, grazing at a leisurely pace, sharing quality food and washing it all down with well made cocktails. It was an addictive combination well suited to situations where business and socializing blend and one that I've struggled to find in Shanghai.
