Yo Momma
A few places to take your mother, the favorite woman in my life

This Sunday is Mother's Day, and I can't stop thinking about your mother -- all day and all night long I'm thinking about your mother -- so here is a quick run down of places having Mother's Day brunches and specials. Just in case your mum is actually in town and she's not out with me at
Jean Georges or something. I'll probably just be meeting up with her later at
The Shelter or something. Boh, snap!
Danieli's Italian Restaurant at the St. Regis
Probably not associated at all with "Live with Regis and Kelly" flesh-bot Regis Philbin, the
St. Regis Hotel in Pudong is offering up a lavish Mother's Day Sunday lunch in their Italian restaurant
Danieli's. Ten different homemade menus for 298rmb a person or 398rmb including Bollinger Champagne. Very nice.
Caf¨¦ Li Brasserie at the Radisson
Caf¨¦ Li in the
Radisson -- I admire a hotel with "rad" in their name, especially if the hotel has more stars in its rating than Alpha Centauri -- is serving a brunch special with lobsters, sea food, BBQ'ed stuff, and more. It's 378rmb plus a 15% service charge, and that includes free flow white, red, and sparkling wine. And on your way out, your mum will be presented with a rose -- which will, in all honesty, pale in comparison to the
breathtaking bouquet I'm planning on giving her.
Mother's Day at The Spot
The Spot on Tongren Lu is hosting an all-you-can-eat BBQ Mother's Day for families, with mums eating for free. Its 150rmb each for the rest of the clan for a BBQ buffet, games for the kids, and other freebies. Sounds like more of a laid-back soccer moms kind of thing.
Mother's Day Special at Casa 13
Casa 13, of Eduardo Vargas pedigree, is offering mums a free desert with their brunches, from 11am to 5pm. Head on down to try out Casa 13 if you haven't had the chance yet. I guess he cares about your mum too, just not as much as I do.
Various Restaurants of The Westin
The Westin hosts their usual popular Sunday brunch at
The Stage and
Prego (and the all-you-can-eat Dimsum at
EEST) but will also be throwing in some special gifts for mothers at all three outlets. The Kid's Corner -- or better know as "that area with the Sega that I stick my kids in front of while I get another glass of champagne" -- will have a "Mummy's Little Chef" thing going on with kids decorating cakes for their mothers. That starts at 11:30am. Sounds precious.
Happy Mother's Day!

This is hilarious. Totally sick, but hilarious all the same...
