We were there at their opening day. They said immediately that the service might be slow so I was really happy about it. It took a long time to get the food but it was really worth it: Naan bread with cheese I LOVE! also meat skewers, so good! and chicken was delicious. I highly recommend this place :))))

I know its new so I kind of understand but there are some things I want to mention about this place. We went there to celebrate my friends birthday and she made a table reservation earlier. The same day we were going there, she called and they didn`t have her table reservation anymore. They have mixed the dates and so on. Well, anyway, we got a table.

At the Azul there were not so many people, but we waited for our drinks for 40 minutes! They didn`t even bring water or anything, but we saw a lot staff there just hanging around. The brunch was ok, food was good but it took forever to get it, about 1 hour. Everything else was good but my friend had a duck salad and the duck was raw. I mean not cooked, nothing, just raw. She complained but nobody even said sorry. So this place definitely needs some improvement.

I found this small eatery from a good friend of mine. When I say small, I really mean this restaurant is more of a window stall then a restaurant.

the pluses:
- ingridients are fresh and of high-quality
- service is fast
- price is very reasonable
- the staff speaks English. I think the owner used to live in Toronto for a couple of years (try to have a conversation with him, he is super friendly)
- they do delivery!
- they sell mangosteen juice. hmmm so fresh and so yummy

the minus:
- it's too small to enjoy your oh-so-yummy sandwich comfortably. In fact, there is no real seating area. There is a small wooden bench but that's it.. Usually, I order my sandwich and eat it at the nearby park

Firstly, let me kick off and say that I am not a huge fan of real Chinese cuisine. Back in the UK I adore the pseudo Anglo-Asian dishes that you'll find on every street corner of every town and a city. It's prawn cracker-tastic. Yummy! Now, since being in Asia I have generally been turned off by all but the most westernized of Chinese restaurants and even then I normally have to be dragged kicking, screaming and offering suggestions to the contrary. Now with Xibo I find very palatable, well portioned and most importantly surprise-free dishes that are served in a welcoming environment. No flood-lights that dazzle you, no cheesy K-Pop (or whatever the kids are listening to these days) and no TV's blaring out the local news at full volume. Great! If you're a fan on those things, plenty of options in the city but not really a need to beat-up of Xibo for not being that. Take is as it is, good food served in a very western-friendly setting.

Was very pleasantly surprised upon entering the restaurant, clean and nice decor.

Sat down and ordered their signature crap & shrimp soup, pork dish, tofu, crispy chicken & cha guitiao.

All the dishes tasted good, however the 2 drinks we ordered (Teh tarik & lime drink) never came until the 4th dish has been served, which by then we already lost all interest in having our drinks at all. On top of that the teh tarik tasted like watered down mcds coffee, was pretty disappointed with that as i grew up drinking it in singapore.

After dinner we ordered the coconut jelly with sago along with grass jelly with fruits. Neither were as impressive as the main courses we've had for dinner.

Service wise the wait staff can improve quite a bit, when we asked for extra napkins & we have 4 ppl, they brought us... 2 napkins. After we ordered dessert, they never offered to clear our table which was full of dirty empty plates.

Awana is a restaurant full of potential as its dinner food is very reasonable for its price plus they taste great! As long as they can fix the other glitches Awana will do just fine in Shanghai for years to come.

Been to Canitna Agave many times since they opened a few years ago and have not been disappointed. Service is definitely a bit shaky at times but the food makes up for it. This is definitely the best Cali Mexican in the city and the perfect place to go with friends for lunch or a night of Tequila. I give it 4.5 stars.

I got dragged here with friends for a festive dinner. The atmosphere was lovely - great lighting, beautiful mood. However, if you are looking for a nice setting, I instead recommend stocking up on candles from Ikea and cooking a nice chicken breast at home instead of paying the 2000 RMB bill our group of 4 ended up with.

First, the menu is entirely in French. Being translated by a waiter who can barely speak that language or English, for that matter. I get it: there are lots of Frenchies in Shanghai. But having to ask the waiter what every item on the menu is while he stammers trying to remember is plain annoying.

I got the chicken, or rather Le Poulet Roti. It was very good, but not worth the 180 RMB price tag. Nothing that interesting going on there - just a nice roast chicken with a creamy sauce and some mushrooms. If that's your jam, I guess there's nothing to complain about. It was just very standard issue French cuisine with no "kick."

The only part of the meal that was certifiably awesome was the dessert. We got this salted caramel ice cream that was wonderful. Not a terribly generous scoop, but truly excellent.

Anyway, I guess if you want a standard-issue French place, go there? It reminded me of one of the places that grandparents might enjoy - overpriced standards catering to elderly tastes with no surprises.

Although I ordered in, I highly doubt one would go to Brasa Chicken on a date. Unless you and said date are a) drunk from the night into the day or b) hungover. Then it's a def. I think.

Anyway, I've been experiencing the worst Nando's cravings I've had in a very long time and of course and while there's no substitution, Brasa kind of quelled the craving for now. The chicken was well cooked through but it wasn't all that flavourful - so I used some Nando's hot sauce on it. Nice touch. The garlic fries were a great complement to my meal, they alone might make me go back to Brasa. I'm a South African and because Nando's comes from SA, I'm sure you can understand why we take 1/4 Chicken, chips and coke orders very seriously. Brasa is ok, but they need to step their flavour game up.
