About

The Insects Must Be Insane is a new physical/dance theater piece from choreographer Nunu Kong "rooted in a process of observation of ourselves in this physical world". The piece questions whether and how insects might express themselves and their experiences in the world. Two shows, Saturday and Sunday. Starts 7:30pm.

Nunu Kong began her choreographic career in Shanghai as one of the founders of the performance collective Zuhe Niao. In 2007 she launched her independent project brand nu Dance with Question “mama” and has performed her work at many festivals internationally. With a flurry of smaller sharp pieces including 1 Night 5 Star Hotel and A Little Bit is Enough she has worked to shapen her playful and imaginative style using the language and gestures of the body to create original dance theater in modern China. In 2010 she choreographed the 6-week project Beyond China for the Emio Greco / PC Dance Company.
