DJ Food, was first literally "food for DJs" by Coldcut - created for the purpose of providing funky breaks, loops, and various other sound effects for mixing. DJ Food soon became a loose collective of Ninja Tune producers Patrick Carpenter and Strictly Kev together with Coldcut. Albums and singles released under Ninja tunes include "Kaleidoscope", "A Dub Plate of Food Volume 2" and "A Recipe For Disaster".
