Contemporale Series: Bombino
Editor's Description
Tuareg musician Bombino, coming from Niger, lays down a set of desert blues at the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Hall. Comparisons to famous Tuareg musician Ali Fraka Touré, for popularizing an African guitar sound that takes notes from Jimi Hendrix but expands the sounds with an uniquely West African sensibility. Unique opportunity to enjoy new Tuareg music in a world class concert space.
