"Micro" was established in Shanghai in 2005 by DJ tootekool from Frankfurt, who has been the driving force behind the continued success of the Minimal sound in Shanghai. The popularity of the Micro parties was solidified through a number of smaller word-of-mouth parties as well as larger club-filling events.
