Shanghai Symphony Orchestra's Artist in Residence Thomas Bauer is giving a wonderful concert with pianist Donald Sulzen. As a leading German baritone, Bauer has enjoyed considerable success in the Lied genre, famous for his power, passion, control, and emotional involvement in interpretation. He'll be performing Mahler's "Kindertontenlieder," followed by excerpts from "Des Knaben Wunderhorn." Start at 7.45pm. [Update: this show has been cancelled]
