Dutoit and Lemper Present The Seven Deadly Sins | MISA 10
Though the six-man ensemble Hudson Shad (five singers and a pianist) debuted officially in 1992, their nucleus formed in 1977 when three of them made their Carnegie Hall debuts as soloists in Penderecki’s Magnificat. For this performance, with long-time collaborator Charles Dutoit as conductor and vocals from Ute Lemper, they'll be reprising their performance of Kurt Weill's "Seven Deadly Sins," which they performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra earlier this year. The night starts with Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro," finished by Berlioz's "Symphonie Fantastique."
