The traditional German "Christkindlmarkt" (Christmas Market) is back in Shanghai for a full 17 days from Nov 29 until Dec 15. The market will feature handicrafts and gifts, festive baked treats, Glühwein (mulled wine), roasted almonds and various other drinks. Delicious regional specialties from Germany and other countries will leave you stuffed and happy. Santa will come by on the weekends for kids both big and small. The scent of baked apples, chestnuts, gingerbread and mulled wine, wonderful sounds of the season and delicious treats await you. Entrance fee during weekends (Friday – Sunday) is 60rmb, which includes a mulled wine or punch. Presale is 50rmb on SmartTicket. No entrance fee is required Mon-Thu. Kids under 12 accompanying a parent get in free.
