Antidote hosts a big time electronic music festival in ZhuJiaJiao - just south of Shanghai. Live electronic acts, DJs, and more. The Antidote Festival of Electronic Music @ ZhuJiaJiao (near Shanghai)



"A day-time outdoor festival of live electronic music."



Shanghai's longest-running music party crew The Antidote crawls out of their usual subterranean darkness, to bring you a mini-festival of live electronic music and DJs, during the day, in a unique location just outside of Shanghai.



Set in a grass-covered courtyard with classic Chinese charm, surrounded by red lanterns and antique furnishings. The space is in the center of Zhujiajiao Water Town, an ancient, pedestrian-only village with canals, restaurants, museums, shopping, and funky cafes. Come early and take a boat ride or grab lunch canal-side. Zhujiajiao is near Qingpu, about 50 minutes west of Shanghai downtown, past the Hongqiao Airport.



The festival is sponsored by Vedett Beer. We think this Belgian White Beer, made by Duvel, is perfect for a spring day out!

Logistics:



- Getting there / transport -- There are public buses from People's Square. We will have a limited number of seats on hired buses for the festival -- first come first serve. These depart from (Shelter) # 5 Yongfu Lu, at 11am, 12noon, and 2pm. They leave from the festival (Zhujiajiao) back to Shanghai (Shelter Club, Yongfu Lu) at 8pm, 8:30pm, and 9pm. It's also possible to take a taxi to Zhujiajiao, expect fare to be around 160 RMB one-way from Xujiahui. (This includes the 20 RMB road toll fee -- not bad if you get 4 people in one taxi, that's only 40 RMB each!) * The Shelter is not connected to the organization of this event, but you all know where it is, so makes an easy meet point.
