F45's an Australian gym chain that combines elements of High-Intensity Interval Training, circuit training and functional training into 27 different 45-minute workout "experiences." They're supervised by a personal trainer in groups of up to 27, no machines, mostly free weights. They have five classes a day, starting at 6.15am. The last one ends at 8pm. Classes are 200rmb per session, or 1,688rmb per month. They've got celebrity endorsements from the likes of Hugh Jackman. He's Wolverine, bud.

Golden Gloves opened their new location in October, featuring a space several times bigger than their previous spot on Xiaoqiao Lu. The gym was originally founded in 2012 by Shane Benis and Alfonso Cuadra. Benis is also behind White Collar Boxing and Brawl on the Bund. Currently, the new location features over 18 trainers doing personal training and group classes, but they'll soon expand that, adding more trainers and a variety of fitness classes in addition to boxing. Those will include kettlebells, conditioning, and TRX.
