Jiahui Health is a series of clinics providing family medicine and specialist medical services. The Jing'an branch is the first clinic to be opened by Jiahui in April 2016 and currently has family medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, ENT, eye, dentistry, and psychology departments (Note this clinic is closed during major public holidays).
Columbia Clinic is a Western style clinic with internationally trained doctors and medical staff servicing the areas of General Medicine & Chronic Disease Management, Multi-Disciplinary Specialty, Family Wellness, Functional Medicine, Rehabilitation Care, Chiropractic & Pain Management, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Diagnostic services, and more.
Located a few blocks away from Sinan Mansions, Ruijin Hospital is open 24/7 and has a full ER and ICU. In addition to standard inpatient and outpatient care, they specialize in trauma, cardiac emergencies, burns, and acute intoxication. They also have an international clinic. Local Hospital Ranking: Grade 3, Class A.
SinoUnited Health is in the business of preventing and treating disease through diagnosis and both surgical and non-surgical treatment for adults and kids(Gefei Center and New Bund Center). Here physicians have been trained in both China and abroad, to provide treatment for diabetes, gout, bronchitis, indigestion, and more. List of doctors can be found on their site, including several languages available: Chinese, English, German, French, and more.
One of Shanghai's biggest hospitals, Huashan is located in the center of the city on Wulumuqi Lu. They have 24/7 emergency services, specializing in neurological conditions, and English speaking staff. Anyone with emergencies should proceed directly to the local ER department, as the foreign clinic is not equipped to handle those. Some important notes: they do not have pediatric or OB/GYN services, and direct pay is only available in the VIP clinic.
Zhongshan Hospital is a top rated hospital (Grade 3, Class A) that's associated with Fudan University and has been around in Shanghai (around different names and ownership) since 1937. The hospital's focus are on heart, liver cancer, kidney and lung disease diagnosis and treatment, though they also have specialists in more areas and are a big reasearch and teaching resource. They've also got themselves a VIP Clinic for the expat population, but no pediatrics here.
STD Clinic that will check you out for all possible STDs. Expect to pay about 250rmb to check everything except HPV and Herpes, which will cost you an extra 400rmb or so. It's a Chinese public hospital, so the prices are much lower than at a Western place, though you may have to wait about an hour to see a doctor. Opening hours are real specific here are the details: Monday-Saturday, Morning Hours, Registration: 7:30-11am, Treatment Hours: 8am-Midday. Afternoon Hours, Registration: 12:30-4:15pm, Treatment Hours: 1:30-5pm.
Shanghai United Family has a 24/7 emergency room that can handle acute surgical emergencies, neonatal intensive care, adult intensive care, and provide services like MRIs, Ultrasounds, and X-rays. They also specialize in prenatal care and child delivery. Their lab and pharmacy is open 24/7.
Parkway is an entirely reliable way to see a doctor or a dentist in Shanghai. No waits, English-speaking, foreign-trained staff operate out of six locations in Shanghai. There's a doctors surgery that's good for all minor ailments and checkups plus venues with dentists. It's one of the high end hospitals on offer, so expect to pay around 800rmb to see a doctor, plus a certain amount to register and more for medication and any tests; To make an appointment call them at 400 819 6622, available 24/7. Important to note that services provided vary across locations.
American-Sino and ASOG provide prenatal packages and birthing options (from natural birth to c-sections) from certified specialists from overseas and China. It's a popular choice for Shanghai families and expats; all prenatal check-ups happen on site, and emergency services are avaialable through Huashan, their partner hospital. Prenatal packages start at 850rmb and birth options range from 45-70,000rmb.
Renai Hospital's a general hospital that offers services in: Plastic Surgery, Dental, Gyneocology, Pediatrics, and more. They have a version of a VIP clinic (note for cost: 300rmb is the average consultation price for children, 500rmb for adults).
WorldPath Clinic International was founded in 2009 through a partnership of healthcare providers in the U.S. and China. Located in Pudong, provides to expats and “affluent families” of Shanghai. WorldPath offers a range of services from simple consultations and check ups to dental services to surgery (Note for opening hours, Mon-Fri, appointments can be made in advance 5pm-8pm, on the weekend no appointments can be made after 5pm).
Global HealthCare (GHC) is a Medical and Dental center operated by international doctors and dentists from United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, France, China, Hong Kong, and many other countries. In addition to providing expertise in Emergency Medicine, and various other fields, Global Healthcare has launched education programs to increase health awareness in the larger community.
UP Clinic is a new clinic that specializes in physical therapy and rehabilitation for sports related injuries and more. Making it less scary for clients to get treatment, they offer non-surgical solution for the treatment of muscle, bone, and joint injuries.
