Having experienced all of our culinary offerings, including possibly training to pitch in as a food guide, you’ll handle day-to-day operations and business development. No two days are the same, and you’ll be handling a mix of online and face-to-face duties with customers, potential clients and our employees on the ground. This is a full time position, but you’ll have some leeway to hold a flexible schedule.
As Operations Manager, your admin duties will mostly consist of customer relations via email and the occasional phone call. The position can grow with the right candidate as business development duties will allow you to grow your duties and your salary to your full potential, with commissions offered.
You are a fully fluent English speaker that has lived in Shanghai or Beijing for at least 18 months with a passion for the local food scene and for delivering excellent customer service. The position is full time, but leaves flexibility for someone with other minimal outside commitments during the day. Mandarin language skills are required.
Extensive training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will be a very organized, detail oriented, outgoing people-person, ideally with previous experience in hospitality and a knowledge and curiosity about the local food scene. Candidates should also be self-motivated problem solvers for prospecting and client development with plans to stay in China for the long term.
