We are searching for our client, a leading Nordic retail chain, an innovative product developer for home related items. With courage to try new solutions and explore the unknown, the product developer is passionate about creating the best solutions for the customer at the right price with the right quality, beautiful design and with focus on sustainability. Ability to build strong relationships between the Nordic team and local one, including the suppliers, is also of high importance.

Apply understanding of home related trends, customers and concepts to identify the right suppliers, capabilities and skills and interpret trends in new materials & products with suitable suppliers

  • Keep every stage in the development process as efficient as possible and drive the developments to ensure the best options, qualities, prices and LT
  • Follow Market Trends and and identify new materials as well as products
  • In preorder time support the Merch with value driver appropriate options on fabrics and qualities specific to products
  • Conduct all relevant tests on samples
  • Work close to suitable suppliers R&D teams with product development as well as for materials
  • Regularly communicate to identify suppliers strengths and give and receive feedback to improve performance
  • Internally identify a work method that improve “speed to market”
  • Update supplier on Trends and concepts and Major Initiatives
  • Carrying out research to develop ideas to support and serve PC
  • Produce new designs or improve existing one and develop ideas and make initial sketches or outline plans

REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge and experience for at least 3-4 years of products and material development
  • Knowledge of computer design software
  • Creative and practical mindset
  • Drawing skills
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain: Cost drivers, handling of goods and raw materials
  • Good knowledge of project management methodology (e.g. time, task, resource planning, cost estimation and KPI follow up)
  • Relevant IT tools knowledge
  • Understanding about the Nordic market and consumer taste
