We are looking for an Operations Manager to support SideChef’s growth. Our people come from all over the world - 13 countries and counting. We are looking for someone who wants to dig in, solve problems, and see their solutions implemented immediately.

What you’ll do

  • Create and oversee all people program initiatives including Culture Initiatives and Learning & Development
  • Use data insights from our Company Pulse Survey to identify, recommend, and implement company policies, programs, and processes to enact changes that preserve our culture while helping us evolve to support business and employee growth
  • Identify, escalate, and navigate employee relations and communication issues with an empathetic, objective, solution-oriented approach
  • Partner with department heads and managers on opportunities to improve the employee experience and overall efficiency across the company
  • Ensure our physical office space is organized to reflect our culture while creating a productive and comfortable workspace for our employees
  • Work with hiring managers and HR throughout the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process
  • Analyze problems and deliver solutions where precedent may not exist
  • Manage planning and execution of employee engagement programs such as monthly town halls, bi-annual company offsites, and holiday celebrations
  • Own the design and execution of bi-annual performance reviews
  • Write, deliver, and facilitate internal communications to help with change management and consistent messaging across the organization
  • Build new employee engagement pilot programs and leverage learnings to constantly iterate and improve
  • Be a trusted resource to employees and managers by handling questions related to policies and processes; handle sensitive employee information with discretion
  • Manage the Culture budget and ensure all spending on programs and events is tracked and accounted for

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have successfully developed new and/or improved people operations programs in one of more of the following areas: recruiting, diversity and inclusion, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement, retention, culture initiatives, compensation, benefits, and/or HR compliance
  • You have a natural social curiosity that leads you to effectively read others and you use a combination of both your intuition and data to guide you in your priorities
  • You are comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment
  • You have exceptional communication skills and are able to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • You see pain points as an opportunity to innovate and get better, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience 
  • You are open & approachable, allowing you to make personal connections and explore employee needs all while efficiently navigating resources, systems, and relevant data to resolve inquiries quickly
  • You are genuinely curious and motivated to roll up your sleeves and learn, at their core, how businesses operate
  • You are a master at multitasking and pride yourself in balancing speed and accuracy
