China Sales And Marketing Manager

  • Responsible for business growth within China through exploring additional opportunities with established relationships and channel partners, as well as prospecting for potential new customers using direct (ie, face-to-face meetings) and indirect methods (ie, networking)
  • Manage and support new and existing customer relationships - develop a strategic go-to-market plan with local business development managers
  • Collaborate with colleagues around the world to monitor active purchase orders and make sure that orders are completed on time, and that the deliveries are documented and invoiced correctly
  • Answer customer questions about prices and availability, prepare sales budgets, resolve customer complaints, and review credit terms
  • Continuously analyse and monitor market trends, activities and competitor actions and pricing to enable the product team to develop and implement pre-emptive strategies to extend company offerings for our Chinese customers
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales, navigating around sales barriers
  • Maintain a high level of relevant product and sector knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior managers and decision-makers; draft commercial proposals
  • Work with technical staff and product specialist where required to address customer requirements
  • Work with delivery teams to proactively address problems and ensure correct deliveries
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace, conducting all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Developing and managing a territory with the appropriate sales processes, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, short-term, mid-term and long-term opportunity management
  • Confidently present industry and domain focused expertise and convey understanding and professionalism to prospective and existing customers
  • Participate in customer meetings, trade fairs and any other business meeting
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports by weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Create and maintain a cultural environment that supports teamwork, encourages employee participation and professional growth

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree required; academic background in sales, business and communications or equivalent preferred
  • 2-4+ years of business experience in a commercial role
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentations skills (written and oral), with the ability to influence opinion and display a positive, high-energy attitude
  • Able to analyze and organize information: a critical listener who asks effective questions
  • Competitive personality: a consistent top performer with genuine drive, ambition and passion for results
  • Project management skills with the ability to drive consensus and results in cross-functional teams
  • Flexible and creative thinker who can define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage change to drive top-line results
  • Able to handle confidential information with appropriate discretion required
  • Able to translate market requirements and customer needs into a clear and detailed set of requirements
  • Confident and able to take initiative; must be a self-starter that does not need constant supervision to be effective
  • Must have strong interpersonal and customer relation skills to build client relationships.  Needs to be Customer-oriented – polite, responsive and persistent
  • Experience in sales planning, positioning and processes; closing skills
  • Able to understand and explain business and technical issues related to Customer´s proposed solutions; can become knowledgeable of products offered in order to facilitate product demonstrations
  • Ability to execute a plan and demonstrate dependability and ownership
  • Fluent English is a requirement. Other languages e.g. Chinese/ Spanish/ German is a bonus
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Ability to travel 40-80 days per year
