My weekends...where do I begin?
I live for the weekends in Shanghai. My weekends start at The Apartment every Thursday night for
Gossip Ladies Night. Can't pass up a free flow and good music. Following that, I usually venture over to
M1NT or somehow end up leaving
Hollywood right as the sun comes up. I wish that place had windows or at least breakfast.
On Friday I’ll be back at Tap House or Cape Grape on Yongkang Lu. Calvin and Susanna are the best- after eating some dinner on the street I make sure to make my rounds at The Apartment checking in with VIPs and friendly faces that I catch up with every Friday. This Friday we are rounding up all of our DJs together for
Shanghai House Mafia this line-up will be set up as a mini festival that will just keep getting better and better as the night goes on. Around 4am, I will head downstairs to change things up and dance my face off at
Shelter.
Being with a Colombian for over a year now I quickly got into the Latino and Spanish culture, and have enjoyed far too many nights at
La Cava, on Yongjia Lu. This Saturday you can find me attempting to dance at their
Fiesta. The awesome happy hour from 7pm-10pm helps guide my two left feet.
After some Salsa lessons at 10pm this Saturday I will be skipping
Brawl on the Bund and attending The Apartment's
4th Anniversary Party. DJ M.O.S. will be making his first appearance in Shanghai to be our guest DJ for the night joining us all the way from NYC. We have been planning this party for months and its going to be huge- this Saturday night I will be making The Apartment my last stop as I expect this night to be an all-nighter.
Coming home early morning on Sunday currently is working in my favor now that I am fostering a puppy. I usually need to be up at 6.30am to take my little four-legged friend out. Lucky for me she doesn't judge if I am still in the clothes I wore the night before. Anyone looking for an adorable puppy?
Before enjoying my Sunday I will spend the morning watching football highlights with my boyfriend. I am currently in big trouble after not knowing who Lionel Messi was and realizing that David Beckham is not just a underwear model...I know..I know I am a horrible human being.
Finally after passing my soccer lesson mid-afternoon we will head back to La Cava to hit their brunch with friends- us girls usually go for the happy hour while our boyfriends talk over a cup of Monarca coffee...which is 100% Colombian…Of course.
Before I know it, its already Monday. The only good thing about it being Monday is that my weekend starts all over again in just 3 days.
Hope to see you all this weekend!
