[My Weekender] with Frau Ana

Jul 15th, 2011

Frau Ana is a Shanghai-based fashion designer, with a wide collection from clothing to accessories, computer bags to mouse pads. Tonight at Pan!c Room, she’s teaming up with The Ice Cream Truck, throwing a fashionable bash for all the Neon Kids. Check out her stuff here.

It’s a pink epidemic, and this weekend it will be neon pink! And maybe green and blue and yellow, or better: just all colors together!

Friday morning I will wake up with a big smile on my face, as it will be my favorite day of the month!

It’s the day of the Neon Kids party! So I am trying to prepare myself a healthy breakfast to get enough energy for the day. Probably I will just order something as my fridge offers only vodka, chili-chocolate and a huge range of nail polish.

Later I will head over to the PRC studio, that I am sharing with a photographer, two directors, and two painters. It’s inspiring to work in this kind of creative environment, as we work and bounce ideas off each other. Then I have to check some emails and prepare the new arrivals of the high summer collection. They will get in the stores today! So the plan for later will be to stop by at be.u at Plaza 353 on Nanjing East Road and at fusion on Julu Road to take care of the new product placement. Also we have to finish preparing the give-away bags for the party, cause who doesn’t like free shit?!

Later in the afternoon I will head over to the Pan!c Room to set up the neon photo booth, as well as all the other fun stuff for the party! It’s the official launch of the frau ana x TICT summer fashion collaboration. We worked together on some badass tank tops and tote bags! The photo shooting for it was so much fun, as we let the model take a shower in strawberry ice cream, and I tried that before with chocolate… yummy!

The party will be a lot of fun! I am sure about that, so I will wake up Saturday morning again with a smile on my face. Hopefully not with a bag of McDonald’s delivery from last night next to my bed, as that mostly is a sign for a master hangover.

Hopefully, the weather will bring us sunshine, so I will head over to TICT pool party. Of course only to work there. We will set up our tank tops and bags there as well, so people don’t have to run around in the city to get them. They can just hang out at the pool with some nice music and drinks and shop their favorite summer pieces.

Later that night I will have to run for a styling job. So not so much booze for me at the party -- at least that’s the plan.

I am looking forward to Sunday so much, as that is supposed to be my first day off in weeks. The plan was to stay in bed all day and do nothing. I am sure I will get nervous from doing nothing by noon and call my friends to go for brunch or just hang out somewhere and enjoy finally some time with them. I have been a workaholic lately, so they don’t get to see me much.

And by the end of the weekend I will think about some new design, or how to actually thank my two team members Abby and Rhys for all their overwork time in the last days leading up to the event. Maybe… eventually I will do some food shopping, so my vodka in the fridge wouldn’t get too lonely.
