Founded in 1997 in Tromso, techno capital in Scandinavia, now consisting of singer Aggie Peterson and electronic musician Per Martinsen. The group successfully launched its 2nd album Melodica in 2001, partly co-produced with Royksopp's 1/2, Per's old friend Torbjorn Brundtland. The 3rd album will be released this fall. The 1st single Sleepwalker, a space pop disco hit, was successfully released in May in UK. It received 5-star review from International DJ Magazine. "It's the best Scandinavia dance music since Annie's Greatest Hits. Nobody can do better Synth Pop dance music than Scandinavian." Besides Frost, Per Martinsen is also known as Mental Overdrive (signed to Smalltown Supersound) and 1/2 of Illumination, have remixed Lamb's Gabriel. Per runs his own label Love OD Communications, who released the mysterious Hex Pistols 7. Nobody knows Hex Pistols' identity. Some rumours say Royksopp, some say Robbie Williams. As "former techno boffin", Mental Overdrive's first materials was released on now legendary Belgian techno label R&S Records in the early nineties, which caused a lot of praise as well as raised eyebrows from Berlin to Detroit at the time. He "returns" in the recent years by releasing a number of acclaimed albums on Smalltown Supersound and his own label.

Led by Paul "Strangefruit" Nyhus, aided by Reidar Skar (studio) and Knut Savik (live/studio remixing). Jet set is a term used to describe an international group who organize and participate in social activities all around the world via jet airplanes. Mongolia means faraway and mysterious to Scandinavian. The combination manifests imaginary free flow and exotic music they produced. The collective emerged from the stellar vault of Future Jazz, and has featured Havard Wiik, Paal Nilssen-Love, Ingebrigt Haaker Flaten, Bugge Wesseltoft, Jan Bang, Erik Honore, Knut Reiersrud, Paolo Vinaccia, Anders Engen, and Roger Ludvigsen. With musical touchstones as diverse as Miles Davis and Brian Eno, Leftfield and Whigfield, Jimi Hendrix and David Hasselhoff, Radiohead and Portishead, DJ Strangefruit has long been regarded as one of the finest DJs in Europe. He has worked with many Norwegian musicians and international jazz legends including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Michael Brecker. Knut Savik is composer, electronic musician and producer. He also leads experimental jazz group Sernet Fyre, and uses Gork, a virtual alien, at Planetnoise.com, an online artists collective.

Established in 2000, the trio's repertoire mainly consists of Ola's compositions; a mixture of bebop, folk-music-fiddling and modal jazz. Through interplay, they generate unique sound from soft tunes to burning. Ola Kvernberg (b. 1981), graduated from the famous Trondheim Music Conservatory, made 1st success with the group Hot Club de Norvege at the Django Festival 2000 in Oslo. Played with Toots Thielemanns, James Carter and Pat Metheny, to name a few. Steinar Raknes (b. 1975) is bass player and composer, also graduated from and now teaches at Trondheim Music Conservatory. He plays in several famous Norwegian jazz groups, such as Urban Connection, The Core and Vindaloo. Worked with Michael Brecker, Chick Corea, Steve Grossman and many more. Erik Nylander (b. 1981), Swedish, also from Trondheim Music Conservatory, plays drums in Kobert, Velvet Lounge Orchestra and Peloton.

Kim Hiorthoy 金瑶台
Electronics Kim's extreme versatility spans music, design, film, and visual arts as well as writing. First noticed in visual arts, selected by British design critic Rick Poynor as one of the most important young graphic designers emerging after the 90s. Primarily as a raphic designer and illustrator, Kim has won praise for his classic art-work for Norwegian labels Rune Grammofon and Smalltown Supersound. He moved on to music with an approach different from that of most musicians, creating electronic pop with a naive charm and warmth. The live sets become harder, but are performed with the same playfulness and originality. His 2002 album Melke is a rare gem of electronica. 2004's Live Shet EP was also full of surprises and with a trademark lightness. XLR8R magazine has placed Kim in the forefront of the new electronic folk music movement together with Herbert, Matmos and Four Tet. On a given day Hiorthoy may exhibit drawings in London, video art in Bergen while performing live music in Berlin. Founder of the famous Smalltown Supersound label, named after his home town Flekkefjord in the south of Norway. Supersound is Joakim's definition of super sound. Jaga Jazzist, Kim Hiorthoy, Lasse Marhaug, Martin Horntveth, and Jazzkammer are the names associated with. Over more than 10 years, it has established itself internationally as a cult label for electronica, free jazz, and noise. IGO
IGO is probably the first electroclash and new wave group in China, formed in 2006. As the most famous electronic musician and DJ based in Shanghai, B6 played frequently in the major nightclubs of Shanghai and quickly built up a solid followings. His cutting-edge attitude towards electro music ensures a very distinct style. B6 is also an electro music producer working on various styles of electronic music. He has released multiple compositions, including the background music for a Nike advertisement. JJ Wu was known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the local post-punk, new wave band Bird On a Wire. Song Tao - Video installation
Song Tao was born in late 1970s and has already become a name that you would never miss out with regards to the new generation of Chinese contemporary art. He has actively been involved in many important art events both in China and abroad. Being indigenous to Shanghai, he kept on observing and documenting his city, people and happenings by photo and video. "Shanghai is a city of his own". Apart from art projects of his own and the "Bird Head" duo, he also closely collaborated with musicians of his generation. He cooperated with the Shanghai musician B6 for a video project with the duration limited as 4.7G (what a DVD contains). Again Song Tao will draw inspiration from the music of NO+CH06' for his visual work and bring surprise to audiences

Bugge Wesseltoft, famous jazz pianist, 3 times Norwegian Grammy award (Spellemannsprisen) winner. Played with Jan Garbarek and Arild Andersen in early 90s. Founded “New Conception of Jazz” (NCOJ) in 1994. Founded Jazzland Records in 1995. Huge success for NCOJ’s 1st tour in China in October 2005. Eivind Aarset 艾文 阿塞特
Eivind Aarset, the most important Norwegian guitarist after Terje Rypdal. Debut album Electronique Noir is hailed as "one of the best post Miles electric jazz albums" by the The New York Times. The subsequent albums Light Extracts and Connected consolidated Eivind's position as one of the key players in the Scandinavian Future Jazz scene. Eivind has been a key sideman and collaborator in many projects, most notably the first incarnation of Bugge Wesseltoft's New Conception of Jazz and Nils Petter Molvar's band, and worked with Arild Andersen and Jon Hassell. B6 is the most famous producer and DJ of IDM and glitch music in Shanghai, and his reputation as an innovative electronic musician has spread throughout mainland China and beyond. B6 created a number of different musical projects over the years, collaborating with local musicians who he had turned on to this new sound, including Aitar - industrial noise / ambient; Dust Box - soundscape / minimal / ambient; ISMU (Intelligent Shanghai Mono University) - mail art / experimental electronic. All these, with unique B6 artwork, have been released on underground labels in China, and also sold via import in Europe and Japan. CY is one of the key musicians in the Shanghai electronic music scene. He has started to work on computer music since 2000, also a member of a number of local music groups, including a noise duo founded in 1999 with the musician Idiot, the experimental electronic group I.S.M.U with other Shanghai-based young musicians B6, susuxx and zoojoo who released their debut album "7.9". He and B6 also found the ambient group Dustbox in 2002 and presented a multi-media exhibition "3-hour on the Great Wall" and released an album "Tuesday". Established in 2000, the trio's repertoire mainly consists of Ola's compositions; a mixture of bebop, folk-music-fiddling and modal jazz. Through interplay, they generate unique sound from soft tunes to burning. Ola Kvernberg (b. 1981), graduated from the famous Trondheim Music Conservatory, made 1st success with the group Hot Club de Norvege at the Django Festival 2000 in Oslo. Played with Toots Thielemanns, James Carter and Pat Metheny, to name a few. Steinar Raknes (b. 1975) is bass player and composer, also graduated from and now teaches at Trondheim Music Conservatory. He plays in several famous Norwegian jazz groups, such as Urban Connection, The Core and Vindaloo. Worked with Michael Brecker, Chick Corea, Steve Grossman and many more. Erik Nylander (b. 1981), Swedish, also from Trondheim Music Conservatory, plays drums in Kobert, Velvet Lounge Orchestra and Peloton.

Hakon Kornstad 浩昆 康士德
A talented saxophonist, graduated from Trondheim Music Conservatory, he works extensively as band leader or group member, with Havard Wiik (Eight Tunes We Like), Paal Nilssen-Love (Schlinger), his own Kornstad Trio (Space Available), and most notably, as a member of Wibutee. His contribution to Bugge Wesseltoft's New Conception of Jazz is also exceptional, most notably on the album Moving. Fans of Jazzland Records are also familiar with Hakon as graphic designer of the label's distinctive covers. Whether a member of the ensemble or playing solo, Hakon can draw the audience into a musical world of playfulness and experimentation.
