James Cohan Gallery's winter exhibition Selected Workshighlights many of the artists who have shown in solo or group exhibitions at the gallery during the past year, as well as two new artists, Wang Xieda and Shi Zhiying. Themes surrounding the natural world are explored in pieces by Joan Nelson, Karen Seapker and Shi Zhiying; whilst elsewhere Ingrid Calame’s intricate drawing of the Los Angeles River bank and Richard Long’s fingerprint Avon River mud works recall memory and the passage of time...

This March, Galerie Dumonteil presents a solo exhibition dedicated to French photographer Eric Pillot. In Situ features twelve unedited original photographs by the artist, whose work evokes fascinating forays to beautiful European zoos,and of course their exotic animal inhabitants. Eric Pillot is a self-taught artist who was born and has lived most of his life in France. He attaches a great importance to contrasts between light and shadow to his painting-like photographs, creating a sense of melancholy in the viewer and questioning the relationship between the natural and human worlds.

In his watercolors and oil paintings, Fang Wei blurs the line between various mediums and traditions to create works that challenge basic assumptions about perception, transforming otherwise conventional subject matter into something altogether new and unique. The exhibition at the Shanghai Gallery of Art will be his first solo show in the city, and will feature a number of works on paper alongside larger scale oil paintings.

Right on the heels of their "Gravity 2011" tour, which saw the chart topping British boy band play a big show in Shanghai at the Shanghai Grand Stage, Westlife are back again, this time for good.
