SmartShanghai holds a few internship positions open for younger writers looking to enter the Shanghai journalism market. Our internships are administrative in nature, but also present opportunities for younger writers to obtain Shanghai writing credits, as well as gain working experience in web media. New media is the new pink. In terms of job qualifications, we’re more looking for people who can bring their own personality to the office, and are interested in experiencing new things and developing their craft. Unfortunately, the position is unpaid, but we’ll try to give you free stuff when we receive it, and there’s usually beer which you can help yourself to.
