The largest yearly outdoor music festival in Shanghai returns, with world class jazz bands and DJs descending on Shanghai for a packed week of live music. Brought to you by the JZ Group, there are two components to the JZ Shanghai Music Festival, with separate ticketing for each: a weekend-long, multi-stage outdoor festival concert at Century Park (that's on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17), and a nightly in-door series of concerts at Shanghai Center Theater from October 13 to 17.

In addition to the two-day outdoor festival in Century Park, a nightly performance series will take place at Shanghai Center Theater, featuring the festival's biggest talents.

Nils Landgen Funk Unit
Holding a red trombone, Nils Landgren is well known as a magician of jazz music. He mixes jazz, rock & roll, pop and Swedish folk. During the 20 years since the band formed his beautiful trombone playing and open rhythm has been a gift to music fans worldwide. Fourplay
For two decade, the contemporary jazz quartet known as Fourplay has enjoyed consistent artistic and commercial success by grafting elements of R&B, pop and a variety of other sounds to their unwavering jazz foundation. In the course of a dozen recordings - six of which have climbed to the top of Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Album charts - the supergroup has continued to explore the limitless dimensions and permutations of jazz while at the same time appealing to a broad mainstream audience.Oct 15, 8pm
Roy Hargrove Quintet
In the modern jazz industry whether in jam sessions or on musicians' competition stages, no one is livelier, more powerful or more skillful with such charming stage presence as Roy Hargrove. In 2002 he won a Grammy for his trumpet work on the album "Directions in Music". The Roy Hargrove Quintet is a defender of contemporary classic jazz.Oct 16, 8pm
Dianne Reeves
Blue Note recording artists Dianne Reeves is the pre-eminent jazz vocalist in the world today. As a result of her virtuosity, improvisational prowess and unique jazz and R&B stylings, Reeves was awarded the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance for three consecutive recordings - a Grammy first in any vocal category.Oct 17, 8pm
The Watts Project: featuring Terence Blanchard, Branford Marsalis, Robert Hurst and Jeff "Tain" Watts.
Blessed with complexity, power and imagination, Pittsburgh-born, Brooklyn-based drummer/composer/bandleader Jeff "Tain" Watts burst onto the scene in the eighties with Wynton and Branford Marsalis. He has since distinguished himself as the most influential and innovative drummer of his generation, as a valued sideman and recording artist, with four recordings as a leader.


Can I chose a specific seat ?
Unfortunatly, no. Ticketing systems in China vary from venue to venue, and many are not sufficiently sophisticated to offer specific seat selection. The event promoters and venues we work with have no setup that allows third party ticketing agents to access to their respective floor plans. However, when you buy a ticket from us, you will automatically receive the best available seats within the category that you've chosen.
I live outside Shanghai. Can I still buy tickets ?
Yes, we can mail tickets to any city within China, but you need to bank transfer the purchase amount before we place the order for the tickets. Please proceed with the ticket booking, and we'll email you the bank account details once we've received your ticket order.
My friends also want to order. Is there a way we can sit together ?
Yes. Our "Invite a Friend" feature allows you to invite your friends to join you at the event and be seated with you. You will only be responsible for buying your own ticket, and SmartTicket will coordinate with your friend(s) to secure their booking(s) and to ensure you all sit together. It's easy to use: simply go ahead and book your own ticket and the "Invite a Friend" option will be offered to you at the final step. Please note, selecting this feature guarantees surrounding seats to your own will set aside for a maximum of 6 hours only.
How do I pay for my tickets?
You pay our delivery staff directly upon delivery of your tickets (cash or local Union Pay card with pin code). We accept payments in Chinese Yuan only. Please email us if you need a company fapiao.
