MIDI Electronic Festival

Midi hosts its first all-electronic music festival in Shanghai this year. It's on. It's happening. And the line-up has 27 DJs playing across three stages from 12:30 in the afternoon until 9:30pm. Most of the DJs are local, think Heatwolves, Cavia, Ben Huang, Dave K, Siesta and so on, but it should be a solid day of electronica and it's happening at a nice, central location: the Pudong Lujiazui Riverside Avenue, that park by the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Tickets on the door: 200rmb; or we have them for 120rmb advance.

Though now overshadowed by the Jin Mao Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center, this symbol of Shanghai's renaissance still dazzles tourists day and night. Visitors can check out the Shanghai History Museum in the basement or join the (more than likely) massive queue to snap a picture of Shanghai from one of the sky-high viewing platforms. Ticket prices range from 100-200rmb.
