One of the pioneers of German electronic music returns to Shanghai for the opening night of Boom, Shanghai's first big new club of 2012. Sven Vath founded the Harthouse label in 1990, which did much to popularize hard trance, releasing luminaries such as Hardfloor. Vaeth's own debut album, Accident in Paradise, was named one of the best dance records of all time by Mixmag. Now he's at the forefront of the German minimal techno scene and has his own club in Ibiza. He's not been here since 2007 but is still a serious draw, so expect a huge opening and a big bad party that goes Boom.

Mutliplatinumi-selling English soul singer / songwriter Joss Stone performs at the Shanghai Grand Stage behind her latest full-length, LP1.
