The Silk Road Project is a nonprofit arts and educational organization with a vision of connecting the world's neighborhoods by bringing together artists and audiences around the globe. Founded by world famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma in 1998 as a catalyst to promote innovation and learning through the arts, the Silk Road Project takes inspiration from the historic Silk Road trading routes as a modern metaphor for multicultural and interdisciplinary exchange. Under the leadership of Yo Yo Ma, The Silk Road Ensemble is a collective of internationally renowned performers and composers from more than 20 countries. Each Ensemble member's career responds to one of the preeminent artistic challenges of our times: to maintain the integrity of art rooted in authentic traditions while nourishing global connections.

Can I chose a specific seat ?
Unfortunatly, no. Ticketing systems in China vary from venue to venue, and many are not sufficiently sophisticated to offer specific seat selection. The event promoters and venues we work with have no setup that allows third party ticketing agents to access to their respective floor plans. However, when you buy a ticket from us, you will automatically receive the best available seats within the category that you've chosen.
I live outside Shanghai. Can I still buy tickets ?
Yes, we can mail tickets to any city within China, but you need to bank transfer the purchase amount before we place the order for the tickets. Please proceed with the ticket booking, and we'll email you the bank account details once we've received your ticket order.
My friends also want to order. Is there a way we can sit together ?
Yes. Our "Invite a Friend" feature allows you to invite your friends to join you at the event and be seated with you. You will only be responsible for buying your own ticket, and SmartTicket will coordinate with your friend(s) to secure their booking(s) and to ensure you all sit together. It's easy to use: simply go ahead and book your own ticket and the "Invite a Friend" option will be offered to you at the final step. Please note, selecting this feature guarantees surrounding seats to your own will set aside for a maximum of 6 hours only.
How do I pay for my tickets?
You pay our delivery staff directly upon delivery of your tickets (cash or local Union Pay card with pin code). We accept payments in Chinese Yuan only. Please email us if you need a company fapiao.
SmartTicket's online ticket ordering and delivery service for this event has now closed.
