Korean barbecue by Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his wife Marja. It's pretty much what you'd expect when the Jean Georges brand gets into a cuisine. Its decidedly sexy and upmarket. The dining room features long tables studded with barbecue pits. You'll find Korean staples, like chicken wings and seafood and scallion pancakes as well as unconventional innovations like tteokbokki, or sticky rice cakes, glazed with gochujang (a sweet and spicy chili sauce) topped with fresh peas and chopped mint. As you'd expect, they find a few uses for luxe eats too, like foie gras, which they wrap in kimchi dumplings.
