Lola is a club dedicated to house and sometimes a bit of disco or techno. More indebted to the European pedigree of clubbing, Lola forgoes the tables, dice, and top 40 hip hop/mash up character of many Shanghai clubs for the European concentration on pumping sound systems (by Funktion One), and the latest in continental house and techno. They do international bookings almost every weekend, with house stars like KiNK, Josh Wink, and Tyree, as well as up-and-coming artists. Drinks: It's a fairly extensive selection of cocktails and mixes, highlights including several varieties of Bloody Mary's, Mojitos, "Kraft Werked" cocktails, and lots of top-shelf spirits on offer. In 2015 they moved down the street to the location of the old Hollywood club, which was Mao before that.
