Editor's Description
Sasha's serves a variety of American-esque foods, including some of the better pizza in Shanghai. Equally spacious indoor and outdoor portions of the restaurant. Cocktails rotate on a seasonal basis. Weekend brunch leaves something to be desired.

I don't normally write in about reviews, but Sasha's simply left me with no other choice. Whatever you do, don't, don't be tempted by the outside garden on a Sunday. We took an out of town friend to what we thought would be a relaxing, lazy September Sunday Brunch affair. After waiting an hour for our order, the food was cold, badly prepared and served by an expatriate French school girl who had no idea about service. We pay extortionate rates to these places so that they can pay salaries to kids? Come on Sasha's, stop screwing your patrons with crap food and service.

Not sure if I was at the same place as Mr.Wu above but went to Sasha's last sunday for their brunch. fantastic deal - 195rmb for all the food you can eat and some great sparkling wine which could have been champagne for all i know. Place was packed which made getting to the buffet a bit difficult at times but the food was plentiful and delicious. Will def. be back.

Had brunch there last weeked. Really nice atmosphere. Food was ok, although there was no truffles in my eggs (but there was black bits in there). Sparkling wine went down nice and maybe it was enjoyable because I got to wear flip flops after 5 months of freezing my ass off in Shanghai!!

Sasha's Monday Special (Large Pizza and 2 Carlsbergs for 100RMB) is one of the best food deals in Shanghai. Lamb pizza with feta or parma ham, asparagus and gorgonzola are fantastic. Combine that with the relaxing bar space and Mondays are a lot better.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I took my brother there for their Sunday brunch...we loved the deal (198rmb: All-you-can-eat buffet plus All-you-can-drink Champagne!!!) We were there for a few hours since we really enjoyed the food and their service...we could never finish our glass of champagne since the one waitress was always there to fill it up:) My roomates and I are definately going to make it a tradition to go there on Sundays! I definately reccomend the place. 2 Thumps up

Always take visitors here, maybe only for a drink in the garden but normally to eat too. Food is normally very good and service upstairs is great. I agree it takes a while to get a drink in the garden though. Thursday we just got up and went inside to the bar and ordered - maybe not cool - but got our drinks timely. And I like the Enjoy card discount too.

The service here is lacking. We waited a long time between each course and I was almost finished with my dinner before my partner's meal was finally served. They have many people on staff but they are all standing around chatting to each other. The food was okay but I wouldn't go back again for the food. It was over priced for what it was. However, it has a casual and comfortable atmosphere suitable for enjoying a few drinks.

I'm just coming back from saturday brunch at Sasha's, after hearing lots of recommendations from friends.
This place couldn't be more disappointing. Service is not "bad", it's non existant. When asked for mayonaise, the waiter just answers "Mei you".
Well, you're a restaurant, and you're having a barbecue ? Well go and make some !
180 rmb, for chicken skewers and 2 other kinds of meat + free beer (but no soft drinks ?? Hello ?? Isn't coke worth 2rmb at allday's ?) ... just not worth it
Just to conclude very quickly, this place left me with a stomachache and I simply threw up my uncooked hamburger.

this place is a joke.. I just got home and looked at my reciept... just to realise that I paid 40 yuan for... CONDIMENTS.. Are u f*ing kidding me? shouldn't that sort of stuff be included in the price of the (already pricey) cocktail you buy? As if those 40 yuan wasn't enough. I also realised a bottle of lukewarm evian was 40 yuan... although the waiter's bad english made it sound like 14... seriously, isn't that a bit too hefty?! when I asked for ice water it was because my friend wanted to swallow a pill, but I was told they didn't have any so I had to order a mini bottle of evian.. fair enough I thought when the waiter told me it was 'fourteen kuai'... but now I realise he must have said 'fourty kuai'. Oh well, maybe that's my bad (although 40 yuan is simply outragious! come ON people?!!) the additional 40 yuan for 'condiments' really p*sses me off!! That's my last visit to that joint.

Dear jojo girl - as someone who drinks at Sasha's on a regular basis i suggest you take another look at your receipt - maybe take a calculator and add up the items you ordered, and I think you'll find you have NOT been charged for condiments. Yes, i'm willing to bet you on this!
Also, show me any decent place in Shanghai that doesn't charge 40rmb for Evian water...
And agree with the 2 previous posters - Sunday brunch is great - except far too many people!!!
