This chain beer shop and restaurant from Tampa Florida opened their first international venture in 2016, in Shanghai city. Basically it's a beer shop with about 400 kinds of bottles including some really rare brews (have seen some Bell's here). There's also about 30 beers on draft, and they have American pub food like mac & cheese topped hot dogs, chicken wings, and more. Nice outdoor seating area in the front, which is oddly right next to Dr. Beer. Kind of a corporate vibe, but definitely a serious beer selection.

Short version: I'll go back on a weekend afternoon and hit the happy hour for the Qingdao IPA and ahi tuna tacos.

    The Good:
The vast selection of beer is phenomenal. It's definitely an American-led brand because the menu divides up the beers according to country, except for the USA when it's divided up even further... West Coast, NY, etc. That said, I'm always pleased to see Brooklyn beer on tap. Where I'm from -- it's rarer than a unicorn.

It was great to try some other Qingdao beer that's not the watery stuff sold at Family Mart. I thought the Qingdao stout was pretty dark and weak but the IPA was right up my alley!! Good stuff.

I had seen some wechat moments and instragram photos of their street tacos. They are very photogenic and kind of what initially woo'd me to this bar. They were pretty good... much better than I could make at home. So there you go! That's kind of my line of reasoning when eating out: could I make this taste better if I made it at home?

    The Bad:
The beer glasses are generic. For example, drinking Leffe out of a no-name tulip beer glass is a bit of a downer. My current fave bar Kaiba has the proper Leffe glasses. But weirdly, I did not mind drinking my Qingdao beer out of the generic glasses.

At the risk of sounding curmudgeon-y (i'm only 30 for the record!) - I disliked the music both the selection and the volume; and I didn't REALLY like seeing/hearing the super noisy 6 year olds running around on the weekend.
