Shanghai Classic House is a three-story restaurant. Consisting of a few dining areas and many poetically named private rooms, the kitchens are deployed on each floor, making sure dishes are served as soon as they're ready. It has long been acknowledged by both citizens and government officials alike as a must-try since it’s establishment in 1875. It represented Shanghai’s traditional Benbang cuisine in the acclaimed 2012 food documentary A Bite of China.
