The second location of Bombay Bistro (after its Yongfu Lu space closed), remains a swanky-looking Indian restaurant/lounge/bar offering a Shanghai-conscious update on standard Indian restaurants -- hipper, trendier, and serving cocktails. Menu has things like Soft Shell Crab ‘65, Three Cheese Kofta, and classics like the ubiquitous Butter Chicken Curry, served in what could be described as a meat-tower. Cocktails include India-inspired drinks like the Sharabi Lassi, essentially an alcoholic lassi served in a glass goblet. Lots of hidden illumination and dark, sleek lounge furniture ensures it doesn't look much like most other Indian restaurants in town.
