Established in 2007, Roosevelt Prime Steakhouse is one of the city's top steakhouses, with the environment and pricepoint to match. Originally on Taiyuan Lu, they relocated to the main building of the InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin in May 2018. It's got 200 seats in public, private and on their street-front terrace. The clubby atmosphere remains, the dry martinis, and the very, very expensive US Prime steaks that make Roosevelt Steakhouse a de facto playground for Shanghai's cigar-chomping elite. The menu is traditional power restaurant fare -- tableside Caesar salads, creamed spinach, medium-rare ribeye -- done exceptionally well. Deliciously elite.
