In 2018, Sri Lanka's Ministry of Crab, ranked 29th on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list at the time, journeyed from the oceans north of Sri Lanka to the literal center of downtown Shanghai, inside People's Park. Occupying the ground floor of Barbarossa, this was their first ever restaurant outside Sri Lanka at the time (they're now in eight cities total). The menu a whole of of fresh crabs, from 500-600 gram ones at 289rmb through eight larger sizes ending in Crabzilla, a 2kg+ monster that starts at 1,288rmb and goes up from there, depending on exact weight. The prawn menu does the same thing. They say everything is fresh and they have a strict "no freezer" policy that is a key clause in their constitution.
