Not much to look at (a street-front stall and cramped back room, connected by a grimy alleyway), Yi’s Goose House is one of the better local eats in a mostly untouched part of Shanghai. It was opened by the so-called "Cursing Noodle King," Wei Yi in fall 2018. It specializes in “white-cut chicken”, in which the bird is poached in stock before being chilled and cut into pieces, a Shanghainese staple.
