This is popular Hangbang cuisine chain Gui Man Long's Tang Dynasty-themed restaurant, specializing in goose braised in aromatic brine, hotpot, BBQ, and city-themed cocktails and soft drinks. The name Yaojin came from a famous general in the Tang Dynasty, who was simple-minded and reckless, but accomplished and managed to live a long life. The restaurant is decked out in an over-the-top way to resemble this historical figure. It's as though they've mashed together a night club and a traditional Chinese tavern. All the staff get their nicknames from online mobile game Wangzhe Rongyao (Kings of Glory). The food and drink menu is extensive and inexpensive, often Instagramable. Service is very attentive.
"Here enters an imperial noble consort!"
"Hero, please come take your seat!"
That's just the beginning at this Lujiazui sub-brand of the crazy popular Gui Man Long brand, which specializes in marinated dishes, personal hotpots and all kinds of gimmicks.
