After each brunch visit, I promise myself not to go back, but do. Food is ok but quality tends to drop a third during busy weekend brunch. Every waiter had a "trainee" tag and it showed because they can't keep staff from leaving, I heard. First they delivered one coffee instead of 2, complained, got second, complained about no milk, got milk, complained about no spoon or saucer for second coffee. French toast was just toasted bread. Supervisor went to get real french toast but unable to explain why the mistake. Had to make a fuss to get second cup of coffee (bottomless has bottom). Is this place going downhill?

It's been a while since I last went to Element Fresh. I always saw it as a safe value, expensive for what it is but at least good food and service.

So I brought a few of my friends who where passing by Shanghai for Brunch last week-end. The food was half decent for most of us: the eggs were dry, the sausage tasteless. Quite expensive for what it is.

What also surprised me what how rude the service was. They got the order wrong and didn't show the slightest embarrassment, they then tried to force my dish on one of my friends even after she said it was meant for me. Weird.

Won't be going back for brunch.
