The grand white mansion on Fenyang Lu, home to a Kuomintang General and an opera school at various times in its history, is currently a fancy restaurant serving high-end, businessman teppanyaki on the groud floor and yakiniku -- Japanese BBQ -- upstairs. Real popular for weddings.

After reading many positive recommendations for Ambrosia, I gave it a go but was left high and dry. However the wine and the outside surrounding was great.

Had the lobster teppanyaki set. The foie gras was a little cold in the inside and the lobster was mediocre. The chef made no interaction besides saying "this is foie gras" or "this is lobster" when he served it. He could have at least told us how he cooked it or showed some of those teppanyaki chopping skills.

5 mins walk Abbey Road

Named after that little street those wacky Beatles trotted across, Abbey Road has become one of the most popular summer venues in Shanghai. With patio seating, cheap beer on tap and lots of (at times unfortunate) classic rock, this bar/restaurant is .. View listing »
