Gourmet Cafe offers inventive gourmet hamburgers in a modern cafe environment. Over 30 different variations, such as the 'Crakajak' with premium beef, cracked black peppercorns and melted cheddar cheese or the 'L'Avorella' with prime beef, buffalo mozzarella, ripe avocado and sun dried tomatoes, Gourmet Cafe serves up a unique burger meal. They've also got a selection of summer salads and a list of fresh juices, milkshakes, and smoothies.

So, after reading all the reviews, I decided to check out Gourmet Cafe. Sure, they have a huge selection of burgers (including Chicken burgers, which I appreciate), but where are the classics??? I can't imagine all the funky cheeses going over well with the local Chinese. Everything was on the pricey side, but with all the choices, it warrants another trip in the future.

Don't get me wrong this place is not cheap but you get what you pay for...proper tasty burgers with good ingredients and great smoothies. Just a shame that you have to pay extra for sides.
Burger King BTW in Shanghai is rubbish. The one on Mao Ming Lu and Wu Jiang Lu doesn't chargrill them cooks them in a way that makes it seem like they've been steamed!
