Was invited for a party held at the second floor of t8...didn't know they have a club lounge before...the deco was so great...antique opium bed, cozy fireplace, hanging bamboo with elegant flowers...it's a perfect place for such kind of party...definitely will recommend it for our annual company dinner:)

Happy to pay for great food but I expect great service at the same time for the prices they charge at T8.
We got there, they didn't offer a drink, the sullen waitress asked us to "hurry and choose" as there was another group they obviously wanted to serve (we were only a table for two).
Starters came before the wine. Bread didn't come at all. Literally had to get up and find a waitress so we could order some (hugely overpriced) water.
The food was ok - but for the same price you could have a much better meal at Casa 13 or M on the Bund.
Really, really disappointing - they should be ashamed.

Dined with business friends at T8 the other night. The decor was stunning and the open kitchen was fascinating.

The food was also very good but definitely over priced. The Australian lamb was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Still none of the food items we ordered stood out as truly exceptional.

I went there on three occasions. The first time was wonderful (because the Chef and the manager were there) and the other two times were aweful!!! On the third and last time, at dessert time, we were desperately looking for a waitress, and the one that came to our table told us that she was not assigned to serve our table (WOW!!!). I had never heard this from restaurant staff before, not even at the noodle shop. She wouldn't even call the one who was supposed to serve us. Our one and only ice cream ball came (revolting) and thats when we wanted to see the Chef. The supervisor told us he had gone home as well as the manager (10 ish in the evening). We later saw the kitchen lady drop a clean fork. She picked it up, swiped it and placed it in the forks' drawer. The Michelin Guide really needs to come to Shanghai to straighten the pretentious ones out! Never go to T8!

T8 Weekend Champagne Brunch

T8 does one of the classier brunches in Shanghai. The sophisticated luncheon dishes are served as either two, three, or four courses (238rmb, 278rmb, 328rmb, respectively) and come with a glass of Perrier-Jouet Champagne and coffee or tea. There's also an option to add unlimited Perrier-Jouet for an additional 198rmb, and an option to take an hour-long guided tour with Historic Shanghai through the lanes near Xintiandi before brunch. The guided tour is an extra 50rmb -- a very good deal -- and the starting location is given upon making your brunch reservations. Tours are on Sundays only, but the brunch is all weekend, from 11.30am-4pm.
