After a few years I still love this place. The food is consistant and tasty.The vegetables, BBQ and noodles are all great. The beer list is inspiring and the owner is a real nice and personable guy. Just wish they weren't on Sherpas so I would actually have to go there..but oh well makes it conveniant for my once a week fix...

I won't make it long, but this was a "friend's" recommendation. Now I know I can not trust him when it comes to food ;)

The food was really below average for any type of restaurant in Shanghai and prices are undoubtedly too high for the quality of the food (more than 200 for not that much, 2 persons).

The only thing worthwhile we ate, because it's something special, is the goat cheese.

Environment is ok though.

Great for eat-in of delivery, if you know what to order. I highly recommend the Chargrilled Eggplant (a cold dish layered with chopped tomatoes), Spicy Mint Salad (truly spicy), Grandma's Mashed Potatoes (if you're thinking "Mashed potatoes at a Yunnan resto?"-- Don't think, just try them), Cold tofu (also spicy). The goat cheese is also very good, though overpriced for the portion.

I havent been wowed with the meat dishes, but the fish plates are tasty and the chicken wings tasty (but greasy).

Cursing as i rounded another corner and dodgy looking stairs having spent 15 mins getting lost just trying to find the front door I was not in the greatest mood...but things got better. The beer list is to die for...you will not believe the selection from such a small let's face it minimalist (call it plain) restaurant. The gems on the list include microbrewery ales from around the world, IPA, czech, kiwi it made me thirsty just reading. Luckily the food stands up to this beer selection. Loving goat cheese, mint and chilli salad and mint beef, the herby flavours and smoky barbeque just beg you to ...crack another bottle. Blokes went for meaty ribs and fish off the grill. (PS now i know where the guys have been secretly hanging out !) Prices are cheap and service is OK the owner speaks English and explains the menu if you get stuck..Go and try you won't be disappointed.
