Those in the know call this Enoteca 2, stemming from the success of its Anfu Lu venue (Enoteca 1), Enoteca's vision to place itself within a stone's throw from the tourist trap is a testament to its wine concept, which is short means affordable wines. This venue has a larger and ore equipped kitchen which serves up a larger selection of accompaniment for the wines.

I've been to both branches of Enoteca numerous times. This branch is much more spacious than the Anfu Lu branch, but I would still recommend booking in advance. On the downside, they sometimes seem to manage to lose reservations and service in general is a bit spotty. However, there's a decent range of wines at a variety of affordable price points (even more affordable after splitting the check with friends) and the food is surprisingly good for a wine lounge. The duck sandwich is great and very reasonably priced; the cheese pates are pricier but good.

Brunch @ Enoteca

This popular wine bar does a French-style brunch on the weekends, and this location, near Xintiandi, has a nice terrace on which to enjoy it. 120rmb buys a set of salmon tartare, quiche, Caesar chicken salad, cheese, cured meats, soft boiled egg, bread, croissant, yogurt, and, appropriately, grape juice. 10am-4.30pm.
